MISSION STATEMENT
St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, as members of the Body of Christ, shares the love of God with all by living the Gospel of Jesus. Guided by the Holy Spirit and strengthened by the Sacraments, we strive to deepen our faith through service, education, and outreach to those in need.
September 25, 2024
St. Rose of Lima Church is on a journey to know, love, and serve Christ in our parish community. Together we must embrace Christ’s vision for missionary discipleship so our parish can thrive and be a place for others to grow together in faith.
The very first step in this process involves assessing our greatest strengths and opportunities, and that is where the Disciple Maker Index (DMI) comes in! The DMI is an important survey tool that invites you to reflect on your discipleship journey here at St. Rose. The Disciple Maker Index is designed to:
- Invite parishioners to reflect on their journey of discipleship.
- Enable parish leadership to make data-driven decisions.
- Help parishioners grow in their faith.
The 10–15-minute survey can be accessed through an online link from October 15th - November 24th and will ask you to reflect on your own spiritual growth and enable you to provide your perspective on our parish’s efforts to help you grow in relationship with Christ. All responses will be confidential, and the parish will only receive information about the community as a whole. We will share the link with you a bit closer to the launch of the survey. Paper surveys will also be available for those who do not have the ability to complete the survey online. We are also considering setting-up groups after Masses for those who would like to complete the survey on-line using our chromebooks and having tech volunteers available.
Parishioners across the diocese are being given the opportunity to complete a survey about their parish. Every single parish will have completed this by Thanksgiving. The bishop made a video about it: Called for More - see below.
Together we must embrace Christ’s vision for missionary discipleship so our parish can thrive and be a place for others to grow together in faith.
Please continue to pray for this intention and for the growth and protection of our parish.

Announcements
November 3, 2024
- The Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Grand Slam Breakfast today in the parish center dining room following the 7:30 and 9:30 Masses.
- On December 1st, we are pleased to announce the launch of our new hardbound hymnal, One in Faith. Designed to cover all three liturgical cycles, this hymnal is a lasting addition to our Mass services, eliminating the need for frequent replacements. To support this initiative, we invite you to donate a hymnal for $25. You can also honor a loved one by dedicating a hymnal in their memory. Your generosity will ensure that our worship experience remains enriched for years to come. Within the week, envelopes will be provided for donating. Thank you for your support. Help is needed prepping these new hymnals. Please see the parish website for details.
- Catholic Harvest Food Pantry needs more volunteers to deliver Thanksgiving boxes to registered households the weekend of November 23rd and 24th. They also need more frozen turkeys. To help, please see the bulletin for more details. Thank you for your ongoing support of our community’s food needs.
- A huge thank you to John W Keffer Funeral Home and Angela Eyster, CPA for covering the cost of our 2025 St. Rose calendars. Calendars are available at the entrances.
- This week, we celebrate National Vocation Awareness Week, an annual week-long celebration dedicated to promoting vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life, and marriage through prayer and education. We ask you to pray for our seminarians and sisters in formation and the couples in marriage prep at our parish.
